HISTORY
Overberg Agri has its origins in two of the oldest farmers’ co-operatives in the Western Cape – the Caledon Boeren Co-operative (est. 1918) and Bredasdorp Boeren Co-operative Society (est. 1926). These co-operatives converted to companies during the late 1990’s which saw the establishment of Caledon-Riviersonderend Landbou Holdings Ltd. (CRK Landbou) in 1998 and Bredasdorp Napier Landbou Group (BNK Landbou) in 1997. In 2005 these two companies amalgamated to form Overberg Agri Limited. On Wednesday the 2nd of May 2018, Overberg Agri Limited and Acorn Agri merged to form Acorn Agri & Food – a vertically integrated company with a presence throughout South Africa.
