Outside of Congress, The Agri Eastern Cape General Council is the highest authority and decision-making body within the organisation.
The Agri Eastern Cape General Council meets three times a year unless an additional special meeting is called by the President of Agri Eastern Cape. In these meetings the General Council will discuss and vote on strategic decisions to better guide the administrative and operational staff of Agri Eastern Cape in completing the tasks and objectives set out by the Congress. This includes the implementation and alteration to Organisational Policies.
The Agri Eastern Cape General Council consists of Representative Councillors that each represent several Agricultural Associations within their geographical footprint.
