The Agri Eastern Cape Board of Directors is made of individuals that represent all aspects of the organisation.
The Agri Eastern Cape Board of Directors consists of the President and Deputy President of Agri Eastern Cape, as well as Elected members from all three chambers within the Organisation. These Board Members are appointed during the annual Agri Eastern Cape Congress.
The Agri Eastern Cape CEO also forms part of the Agri Eastern Cape Board of Directors as part of the duties of that role. A final Independent Director is nominated and appointed by the Board.
Four Directors are appointed by their peers from the Agri Eastern Cape General Affairs Chamber. These are farmers who represent the members of Agri Eastern Cape at a Council level. Four Directors are appointed from this chamber to ensure that the organisation remains focused on the needs of the Farmers and that the narrative is written for farmers by farmers.
One Director is appointed from the Commodity Chamber of Agri Eastern Cape by the members of that chamber. This is to ensure that commodity interests are represented on the Agri Eastern Cape Board.
One Director is appointed from the Corporate Chamber of Agri Eastern Cape by the members of that chamber. This is again done to ensure that a corporate perspective is considered by the BOD.
Finally, one Independent Director is appointed to the Agri Eastern Cape Board of Directors. This Director has no formal ties to the Organisation and provides a completely independent and unbiased view point on serious matters that affect Agri Eastern Cape and its members.
