Agri Eastern Cape was invited to present on behalf of the RPO, at the MEC of DRDAR Stakeholder Engagement Meeting in Addo on the 5th of March 2024.
The MEC of Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform, Nonkqubela Pieters, met with various stakeholders in the province to present their strategic plans going forward and to get input from the industry as to their views. Commodities, Financial Institutions, State Institutions and other key role-players were in attendance.
Topics were covered, such as:
Fruit Production to Increase Export and Grow a new Era of Farmers, Commercialisation of Livestock Production, and Crop Production in Small Scale Farming and the Rural Eastern Cape.
Commodity specific round table discussions will now take place between stakeholders and the DRDAR.
