AgriSA Green Horizons Congress

The Agri Eastern Cape, Board of Directors as well as a few young farmers attended the AgriSA Green Horizons Congress in Cape Town.

The Congress focused on the challenges and opportunities that the agricultural sector is faced with, and the crucial role agriculture plays in sustaining food security. The Congress was hosted at the Zeits MOCAA in the V&A Waterfront, a cultural landmark that embodies the rich significance of agriculture in South Africa.

Their theme "green horizons" represents the nature of the congress, highlighting the dedication to sustainable agriculture, forward-looking strategies to tackle future challenges, and their unwavering commitment to nurturing growth, innovation, and collaboration within the industry.

The purpose is to bring agriculturalists together to discuss what can be done to improve agriculture and to serve the farmers more effectively and efficiently. Our country wouldn't survive without agriculture, we need it to build and heal the country.

Agri Eastern Cape was well represented, and we would like to congratulate Mr Peter Cloete, President of AgriEC, on being re-elected as a member of the AgriSA Board of Directors. We are very proud of our organisation!
