Agri Eastern Cape would like to welcome two new Directors to the Agri Eastern Cape Board.
James Powell has been appointed as our Independent Director, as provided for within our Memorandum of Incorporation.
James is currently the Group Chief Financial Officer for the Intenda Group, a software company specializing in platform technology and bespoke product development in South Africa, the UK, Netherlands and the USA. With previous experience gained within the Security Industry, an NPO focusing on early childhood development and various financial institutions, Agri Eastern Cape is looking forward to his contribution to the organization.
Coert Jordaan, our current Chairperson of Rural Safety has also been co-opted as a Director. Given his specialized knowledge and experience within this field, as well as the safety and security issues faced by our members, the Board felt that co-opting Coert would enable faster decision making to take place, ultimately benefiting our members.
As Chairman of the Board, I am looking forward to the inputs that both these gentlemen will make within the Board of Directors.
